Introducing, I'm a student from a university in Indonesia, majoring in
Informatics Engineering.
Right now, I'm doing my last assignment for getting
my S1 degree, with subject 'Adding
sound feature in X Protocol'.
Because of my lack ability in Linux Programming, I
get a lot of problem with this assignment,
so I need you guys/girls to help me, supporting me,
etc. so I can finish my S1 degree right
on time ( about end of this July'2000 )
...
There's some question I need to ask :
1. Is it possible to be made ? Is it right if I
make a new extension for this feature ?
2. Is there anyone can help giving me a brief
explanation about how to make an extension in
Linux protocol ? how to compile
it ? and activating it ?
Cause i've read the Xlib
hardcopy and there's no enough explanation for me how to make
an extensions, compiling it
and activating it technically and practically.
3. Should I recompile the XServer everytime I need
to try my new extension ?
4. Should I make a 'makefile' for compiling any
application build for linux ?
If yes, how can I make it ? Is
there anyone can give me the syntaxs and the meaning for this
?
