That is a definative NO.
What you need to check is weather the mouse works properly on a normall
console, if it is the same as in X your mouse is quite possably broken, i
had the same problem the otherday.
If the mouse works ok in a console outside of X then check your settings in
your XF86Config file. Possable locations for that file are. /etc /etc/X11/
You did not say what sort of mouse you have so i cant say more.
The problem i had was with a "new" ps2 wheel mouse.
