Hi,

I got the OSS sound-driver to chek the soundcard on my machine, and on
trying to run it I get the foll. message while trying to run it:

*** Sound driver is already running - trying to unload it ***

It looks like the sound driver is linked in the kernel you are currently
executing. You should configure recompile the kernel without the built in
sound driver and to reboot before trying to install OSS/Linux again
*****

What must I do re-compile my kernel without the sound module linked to
the kernel? I remember having specified to include the sound as a Module
during the config process.

Thanks,
-Karthik.
