First, thanks for all the help with my modem and the "no dialtone" message.
It is now working, I don't know exactly how or why, but will soon find,
after studying the strings I added to the modem commands.
I now this is not the place to ask, I will also post to linux-msdos, but I
would be grateful for any information, since I know many people also use
dos and win because they need (as is my case). So, if any of you have any
experience with these questions, please help me, ok?

Problem is: I have some old games and I want to run them with dosemu, but
they need EMS memory.
I am using /dev/hda1 as boot dir, with config.yyy and autoexec.xxx instead
of the normal ones being called from dosemu.conf. In my w98 install, I use
memmaker to free conventional memory and access the himem regions. In dos I
have 618Kb, but in dosemu the messages "already in protected mode" keep
appearing and memmaker won't work.
I also would like to use my sblive under dosemu, but it needs SB16
emulation, and this is loaded with a .com in the autoexec that needs
memmaker to be enabled to run.
Configuration: Pentium III 128Mb, Red Hat 6.2 w/ standard kernel
(2.2.14-5), SB Live, Riva TNT2 32 Mb (working flawlessly with X), dosemu 1.0.1

So, the questions are:
1. How to use memmaker/himem/emm386/qemm under dosemu? Is it possible?
2. How to use SBLive, sb16 emulation or general midi under dosemu? Is it
possible?
3. Any success with VESA games? Some games crash after the initial screen.

Thanks in advance!
