Yes agreed, however if we speak of a direct link between 2 cards the
documentation does complicate things, i must say i did say it all wrong.

In this country at least one goes to a shop and buys a cable for a direct
link between two cards, there is never any mention of crossover which in
itself confuses whoever is the buyer, just like it confused the question
asker.

Yes of course you are correct, i should have said it differently.
Its a pity coax is getting to be a thing of the past, it was so easy in
those days.

Yes i know about that Ray, as a matter of fact i made 5 cables last week, i
install all sorts of communication cards in computers, terminals and 
fruit machines. ;-)

I bet you also know that the pincher needed to make the cable costs much
more than 100 meters of cable.
