Dear all, I have a board which provides a PC Card controller to a Compact Flash (CF) slot and I need to write a driver for this.
A similar situation occurs when an ATA (IDE) disk comes with a USB interface. There a USB mass generic driver just works with any such device. This is possible due probably to the USB spec. identification of storage class device. My question is this: can I expect a similar behaviour with CF slots have PC Card or ATA interfaces? It seems that this is the case but I am not sure whether it's a specification guaranteed or just a common behaviour. (I do not have option to check this in my case and knowing this I can go on and do other tasks.) If above doesn't work, can somebody please give opinions on what to choose for the driver : ATA interface or PC Card? Thank you. Best regards, Shishir. _______________________________________________ Linux PCMCIA reimplementation list http://lists.infradead.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-pcmcia
