Bueno, reportando: Hice lo que me recomendo morenisco; en tu primera solucion me bota un error algo asi como "that is not a block device".
Tu segunda opcion funciona, escribe en el mbr del disco a la pefeccion, reinicie, me salio el gestor de arranque, pero al momento de seleccionar Ubuntu, me responde "Unable to mount the filesystem" y para el WinXp "Unsupported executable format" (Era algo asi) Julio: Todo bien hasta escribir root(sda,1), pero para el setup no de dice nada de nada.... grub-install funciona con los parametros de morenisco, pero el grub-update no encuentra los archivos de /boot/grub He probado con reinstalar el sistema para que escriba en el MBR de mi disco IDE, funciona perfectamente, pero al iniciar ubuntu me dice algo como "BIOS BUG: IO not connected, try with init= option", abajo me dice "kernel alive".
