1. Get the NIC driver working on 2.6.26
    . This might be as simple as new firmware, or PCI-ids (i.e. no 
recompliation needed), or might require back porting some changes from 
2.6.30
    . There is a bcm5700 source package in lenny that you can compile 
with module-assistant, but I've no idea if this will support your chips

2. Install a different NIC card in the machine e.g. an Intel add-in card 
- Intel provide good support for open source, unlike Broadcom's patchy 
(and at times hostile) stance.

3. Use kvm or openvz instead of xen - both of these are supported in 
Debian, whereas Xen is Deprecated as of the next release.
