Hi Johnny, >From the wiki, >http://linux.dell.com/wiki/index.php/Repository/FAQ#Repository_setup_fine.2C_srvadmin_wont_install > : OMSA is only available for certain Dell PowerEdge server models. Notably, "SC"-class systems do not have OMSA available. To check to see if OMSA is available on your system, use the "getSystemId' executable to look up your "System ID". Then go to the repository <http://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/latest/> to see if there is a "system_ven_0x1028_dev_YOUR_SYSID" directory (substitute your system id as appropriate).
Also, here is the list of supported systems for 6.1: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/software/svradmin/6.1/en/COMPAT/HTML/4admnver.htm -Jeff ________________________________ From: linux-poweredge-bounces-Lists On Behalf Of Johnny Stork Sent: Friday, December 04, 2009 7:57 PM To: linux-poweredge-Lists Subject: Dell Poweredge SC1425 Open Manage I have a Dell PE SC1425 and tried to follow the instructions here http://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/latest/ to install OM. I got as far as running yum, but it failed yum install srvadmin-all Loaded plugins: dellsysid, fastestmirror Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile * addons: centos.arcticnetwork.ca * base: centos.arcticnetwork.ca * dell-community: linux.dell.com * extras: centos.arcticnetwork.ca * updates: centos.arcticnetwork.ca Setting up Install Process No package srvadmin-all available. Nothing to do Any suggestions? I tried lm_sensors first but this also did not work and no sensors could be found. Is there any way to get OM working or at least lm_sensors on this machine?
