I find that sometimes the sales rep's software the are putting the order through "says no" but it is possible so ask for it in a RAID5 then rebuild it when you get it.
This problem for me crops up the most with hard drives, I have occasionally wanted drives A for Server A but they didn't do them, only for server B and I couldn't order them for server A so I said lets pretend they are for Server B and when I get them I will swap them.
