Can anyone explain what a prefetch abort exception is? I recently found a PE2900 behaving as if all filesystems were read only. I had to power cycle the machine as it would not take logons of any kind. I found a bazillion instances of "*** PREFETCH ABORT exception: sf= ..." in the controller log.

I updated the firmware from 1.03.40-0316 to 1.03.50-0461. This never happened before and has not happened since. Is this cause for concern? _______________________________________________ Linux-PowerEdge mailing list [email protected] https://lists.us.dell.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-poweredge Please read the FAQ at http://lists.us.dell.com/faq
