Seems a bit > far fetched to me? Just try it. ;-) It should work since the PERC drivers have been part of standard Linux kernels for quite some time and GParted is based on rather recent kernels. The kernel driver will make your LVs appear as /dev/sda and /dev/sdb, GParted should know about the rest.
