Just for the record, I've fixed that earlier today. My sed command was working fine but selinux was preventing changes :(
So if you want to install dell stuff from the kickstart but still stuck on the RHEL4.x with up2date: - switch off selinux (selinux=0 for anaconda) - with sed (or any other way you can think of) hash out line "up2date default" in /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources - if you want to, you could use rhnreg_ks (if yopu have enough licenses) and skip step with hashing out default repo for up2date. Or you could use your satellite... Hope that helps! Many thanks for all your help. -- Kind Regards Chris Skretowski MCSE: S+M, MCTS -----Original Message----- From: Nick Lunt [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 15 July 2010 09:43 To: Chris Skretowski; Nils Breunese (Lemonbit); [email protected] Subject: RE: Dell OMSA with PXE and up2date (local repo created) > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:linux-poweredge- > [email protected]] On Behalf Of Chris Skretowski > Sent: 15 July 2010 09:39 > To: Nils Breunese (Lemonbit); [email protected] > Subject: RE: Dell OMSA with PXE and up2date (local repo created) > > > Hi, > > I know that I can install OMSA through up2date - only problem is that > up2date needs interactive registration (and I don't want that during > PXE). > > Oh well, joys of RHEL. > > Many thanks! I haven't got the link to the dell wiki to hand for omsa but on there it tells you how to disable RHN and still use up2date to install OMSA.
