Howdy, I have upgraded two hosts, one a brand new R510 running RHEL5 and the other an old Sun X4100 running CentOS 5.5, to the latest kernel (kernel-2.6.18-194.8.1.el5, the rpms happen to be identical at this point), and both have begun rebooting themselves at least every other day. Nothing is written to syslog on either host.
The Sun's iDrac-equivalent (ILOM) is logging what could be a bad DIMM; ID = ae : 07/17/2010 : 22:53:01 : OEM sensor : BIOS : Hyper-Transport Sync Flood Error ID = af : OEM record e0 : 0000000004130a08e900a07ef4 ID = b0 : OEM record e0 : 01000000048055510000000000 ID = b1 : 07/17/2010 : 22:53:13 : Memory : BIOS : Uncorrectable ECC Node 0 DIMM 0 ID = b2 : 07/17/2010 : 22:53:14 : Memory : BIOS : Memory Device Disabled Which is odd because the Sun was up for almost a year, until I did a "yum update" a few days ago. The R510 iDrac doesn't seem to be capturing anything. Is anyone else seeing this happen? I guess I need to dust off my kernel debugging skills .... -Wiley Sanders St Marys College of California https://wsanders.net
