Hi !

We've got the mysterious problem,
that our dell machines ( e.g. r510 ) fails via fai-pxe installation,
but only for ubuntu lucid 64 Bit not for 32 Bit ?!

Both pxe configuration are equal

kernel pxe/ubuntu/lucid-amd64/vmlinuz
append       initrd=pxe/ubuntu/lucid-amd64/initrd.img root=/dev/nfs
nfsroot=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:/srv/fai/nfsroot/lucid-amd64\
boot=live FAI_LOCATION=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:/srv/fai/config/lucid
FAI_FLAGS="createvt,sshd,verbose,reboot" FAI_ACTION=install ip=::::::dhcp
ipappend 2

On the console i can see a kernel panic while the root-filesystem (nfs)
would be mounted .... ( the network-interface will be not recognize ?!)

Begin: Running /scripts/init-premount ... /scripts/init/premount/mdadm:
line 98: add_mountroot_fail_hook: niot found
/scripts/init-premount/lvm2: line 39: add_mountroot_fail_hook: not found done

Begin: Mounting root file system ... [ 4.7... Kernel panic - not syncing

Got somebody else the problem or how could it be solved or debug ?

Thanks & cheers

        Martin
