At the end, we ordered a "Perc4 Dual Channel U320 Controller Card" (article number 6847) from www.ues.ch (we received the company name from Dell support). We inserted the card, plugged in the disk backplane and booted the system (do not change anything on the raid-controller itself because it reads the raid settings from the disks). Since then the system is running again without any problems.
