Hi All, Apologies for a possible double posting, as a previous attempt got nowhere.
While running kernel 2.4 (such as CentOS-3.9) on the R610 with a quad core (E5620) CPU all works fine, except that only one of the cores is recognized. A 2.6 kernel recognizes all cores. When trying the same 2.4 kernel on a different board (not from Dell, but Intel's) utilizing a slightly different CPU (E5540) all cores are recognized Can anybody shed some light as to what needs to be done (BIOS settings and/or kernel patch) in order to enable all cores?
