make sure you have the most recent firmware versions of the built-in 
components as well as for the server itself installed. Using hardware from 
other vendors, I've seen the behaviour you described, caused be a faulty 
ASR (automatic system reboot).

If you've done this, you should you diagnostic software provided from Dell.
