Still not working for me. According to Tamper Data these are the redirects I get sent through: http://opensource.dell.com/ http://support.us.dell.com/support/opensource/Default.aspx http://supportapj.dell.com/support/opensource/Default.aspx http://supportapj.dell.com/support/404.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/support/opensource/Default.aspx Perhaps it's because I'm accessing from Australia and it only exists on the US site? Oddly enough when I use Internet Explorer it lets me stay on the US support site. I seem to be logged in to the Dell site in Firefox but logging out doesn't help. > There are a few components incorrectly marked GPLv3 in the > iDRAC_3.0.zip file Licenses/ directory (e.g. the Linux kernel). > Someone is looking into fixing that. The Sources/ directory contains > the source code and correct license files. Is this the correct file? It's a bit confusing which one is which. I have downloaded iDRAC_1.4-1.5x.zip because my iDRAC 6 is running firmware version 1.54, so is iDRAC_3.0.zip newer? Which firmware version does that correspond to? > AFAIK, none of the components in the iDRAC 6 firmware > are GPLv3-licensed, or require us to provide a full build and reflash > environment. That's under consideration, but not currently planned. This is also a bit hard to work out, given that we can't actually log in to the DRAC command line to see what's installed. Going from the source release it includes code from Samba and the GNU readline library among others, both of which are GPLv3. But it also includes source for Mozilla, which I'm pretty sure is not going to be installed on the iDRAC, so it's hard to tell. Going by the source release it definitely includes GPLv3 software. I would very much like to see a full build and reflash environment, there are a number of improvements I would like to make to the DRAC - and of course Dell would be free to include them in future releases if they wanted to, so I still don't really understand why they are so opposed to having people work on improving their products for free... Cheers, Adam. _______________________________________________ Linux-PowerEdge mailing list [email protected] https://lists.us.dell.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-poweredge Please read the FAQ at http://lists.us.dell.com/faq
