Hi,

I use the procedure that Claudio Cesar Sanchez Tejeda posted (Mon, 12 Nov 2012
13:40:06 -0300) in this list for having firmwares up-to-date.
I need some packages to have update_firmware functioning. To get it I need to
do apt-get install libsmbios python-smbios smbios-utils apt-get install
dell-ft-ie-interface firmware-addon-dell firmware-extract firmware-tools
libsmal0 apt-get install dell-ie-bios dell-ie-nic-intel dell-ie-idrac7
dell-ie-nic-qlogic dell-ie-nitrogen dell-ie-maser dell-ie-oxygen \
dell-ie-maser-diags dell-ie-pcissd dell-ie-maser-dp dell-ie-ps
dell-ie-maser-inv-lcl dell-ie-rac-5 dell-ie-maser-usc \
dell-ie-sas dell-ie-nic-broadcom dell-ie-tape-ibm dell-ie-nic-emulex
dell-ie-tape-quantum

for firmware in $(bootstrap_firmware -a); do apt-get install $firmware; done

But on a freshly reinstalled R410 with Debian / Jessie, I can't any-more find
these packages.
I have successfully installed OMSA 8.3, but as long as DSU is not ported to
Debian / Ubuntu, I have to use the old DLR.

Is there anyone which solve this problem ?

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,
Jean-Daniel.

Subject: [Linux-PowerEdge] OMSA 8.3 for Ubuntu lacks racadm tools

Hi,

We are upgrading OMSA from 7.4 to 8.3, but found the new OMSA does not contain
iDRAC administration tools such as idracadm7.

It seems that OMSA 8.3 for RHEL contains racadm tools:
http://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/DSU_16.04.00/os_dependent/RHEL7_64/srvadmin/

Why these tools are missing for Ubuntu/Debian? Is it a packaging issue?

Thanks,
