I need your advice how to collect hardware failure with omreport.
We have some server running with Ubuntu 12.04 (precise), and have OMSA v7.4
installed.
To get all hardware failure message, we add one cron job like below
* * * * * omreport system esmlog -fmt cdv >> /var/log/messages ;
omconfig system esmlog action=clear > /dev/null
My question is ,
Is the cron job good enough for CPU/Memory/NIC/Power/FAN/TEMP/Storage failure
collection?
Or we need any other export like
omreport system alertlog
omreport system postlog
does anyone have example of those esmlog and alertlog?
