You might try to update the NIC firmware again via the iDRAC.
Somewhere should be a point to upload the firmware, which you have to download 
from the Dell website.
I was able to recover a machine in a similiar state with this method, but no 
guarantee.

If you have warranty left, you should contact the Dell support and try not to 
make the situation worse.
