Hi,Yes, that is true, but the thing is that we have AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 6380 on our R715 (System revision II) and according to the article: http://www.dell.com/Support/Article/us/en/04/SLN155889: "they can utilize LRDIMMs" and "For higher memory capacity and speed quad rank LRDIMMs of 16GB and 32GB are supported and run at 1.5V", however "PowerEdge R715, R815 and M915 can be upgraded as long as the bios is updated but will not support all the features of newest memory types (LRDIMMs and 1600MHz RDIMMs)".
But still if I am reading this correctly the upgrade to LRDIMMs should be possible, right?

Hi, RDIMM is not LRDIMM. Even if both are Low Voltage. Le 24/08/2016 11:04, Łukasz Zygmański a écrit :Dear PowerEdge owners,I would like to upgrade memory in my university's R715. Currently we have 16*16GB LV RDIMMs, but would like to replace them all with 16*32GB RDIMMs (A7187321). Did anyone tried that before? My biggest concern is that Polish Dell Support told me that it isn't possible and the only way to upgrade my memory is to use A6994476 (4Rx4 DDR3 RDIMM 1333MHz LV) memory modules, which by the way are far more expensive. However the page: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&sku=A7187321 states that the 32GB DDR3 LRDIMM 1866MHz is supported by the R715.Does someone have any idea why the A7187321 memory modules wouldn't work with the R715?Yours sincerely Lukasz Zygmanski _______________________________________________ Linux-PowerEdge mailing list [email protected] https://lists.us.dell.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-poweredge
