When upgrading the following steps make 'check_openmanage' work again: (These steps assume, that you generated the symlink /etc/init.d/instsvcdrv) mv /etc/init.d/instsvcdrv /etc/init.d/instsvcdrv.my.bkp mv /etc/init.d/instsvcdrv.dpkg-new /etc/init.d/instsvcdrv systemctl daemon-reload systemctl restart dsm_sa_ipmi.service instsvcdrv.service dataeng.service # and if you have it: #/usr/src/check_openmanage/check_openmanage -s -a -e -b ctrl_fw=all/pdisk_cert=all # rm /etc/init.d/instsvcdrv.my.bkp While testing, i purged all srvadmin packages and installed them again. The result was a broken /opt/dell/srvadmin/etc/openmanage/oma/ini/omcli.ini. I replaced it with a copy from another machine. *shudder* Has anyone ever tested at dell anything?
