Thanks George. I’m hoping to boot from it. Have you tried to boot from them?

You should be fine. The 800GB version they are referencing is the P3600
(previous generation). Any of the P3700's should work the same, they vary in
capacity not in feature set. Just make sure all your firmware is up to date and
it should be fine.

Note: We don't boot to these, and have only used them as data drives in 13G
windows servers. So take this advice with that grain of salt.

Subject: [Linux-PowerEdge] Intel DC 3700 800Gb SSD PCI

Has anyone tried the Intel DC 3700 Series SSDPEDMD800G401 800Gb PCI card in a
Dell R630 or R620 and been able to boot from it?
According to intel
http://download.intel.com/support/ssdc/hpssd/dell/IntelSolidStateDriveDataCenterFamilyforNVMeandDellCompatabilityGuide.pdf
only the 2Tb version is supported on Gen13. Here as well

I was hoping to get away with the 800Gb model at Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Intel-P3700-SSDPEDMD800G401-800GB-Height/dp/B00L0LFFH6/ref=pd_sbs_147_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00L0LFFH6&pd_rd_r=ZXC7538S4DSA6P8HJSWH&pd_rd_w=uBdrc&pd_rd_wg=mCzqr&psc=1&refRID=ZXC7538S4DSA6P8HJSWH
