I have some ESXi servers (R620) with local storage using a single RAID-10 Virtual Disk.
I'd like to follow Dell's recommendation of monthly consistency checks of these virtual disks, but right now the only way I can find to do it is manually, via the OMSA "Manage Remote Node" function from another Dell server running Linux and OMSA. Some references: http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/systems-management/w/wiki/4374.how-to-build-and-execute-wsman-method-commands http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/extras/m/white_papers/20443114 To make a long story short (output below), when I try to start the consistency check using wsman, I get an error STOR013 "One or more Storage device(s) not in a state where the operation can be completed". However, when using OMSA I can start and cancel the consistency check with no issues. In the interest of not filling up people's mailboxes, voluminous output at http://pastebin.com/U6pPMWm7
