Hi Stephane,

DSU is not deprecated and is refreshed with latest updates every month, the
next refresh with latest updates will be available in a day or two.

Thanks,

Sashi

Subject: [Linux-PowerEdge] Is dsu deprecated?

Hi,

I am managing servers and automatically use dsu at postinstall when
redeploying. On some R630 servers, dsu indicated that BIOS 2.2.5 was the latest
but we just hit some PCIe resource bugs with this BIOS:

  5c | 01/19/2017 | 11:11:33 | Critical Interrupt FatalPCIErrOnBus | | Asserted

  5d | 01/19/2017 | 11:11:33 | Unknown Err Reg Pointer | | Asserted

Actually this issue is fixed in 2.3.4 which was released early December and
available on Dell support website. I could have avoided some hassle if dsu were
up to date...

I am wondering if dsu is deprecated and what other CLI Linux tools do Dell
provide?

Thanks,

Stephan
