Hi guys, I need to replace a failed hard disk on a PowerEdge R300 server in a RAID 1 configuration. The previous disk was a SAS, can I replace it with a SATA? Does the RAID controller handle it? The hardware is a Fusion-MPT SAS controller. Maybe the answer is an obvious NO but I'm looking for confirmation from experts.
