Hi Aviv, On RHEL7 you'd normally use "biosdevname" for a consistent network device naming (and thus ordering).
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/7/html/Networking_Guide/sec-Consistent_Network_Device_Naming_Using_biosdevname.html That has the side effect of literally ordering embedded motherboard (em) interfaces before PCI card (p) interfaces. The link below will give you some guidance: How do I Control the Ordering of Network Interfaces? http://serverfault.com/questions/614216/how-do-i-control-the-ordering-of-network-interfaces Stefan On Mar 5, 2017, at 9:13 PM, [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> wrote: Dell - Internal Use - Confidential Hi All, My customer is using a few network interfaces on his R730 server, such as: NDC and PCIe network cards. During POST the PCIe network cards are booting first, instead of the NDC , my question is how do I Control the Ordering of Network Interfaces - NDC before PCIe network card ? is it BIOS settings or Linux rule ?
