Hello Jens, Yes, it works for us - a PowerEdge R930 (RHEL7) with a PERC H810 controller, connecting a MD1200 drawer, full with 4TB 3.5' SATA hard drives (12 drives in two big RAID5 sets...), more details below... Cheers, Steve Baroti

Ive got an old PERC H810 controller thats been used with a MD1200 shelf. If I want to hook that up to a 13th gen. server such as a R630 or R430 - will that work? Ive found https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/1980149-dell-perc-h810-and-poweredge- r630-compatiblilty via google that mentions not comming through POST/UEFI boot, but can anyone confirm it? I do not care about getting support from Dell on this since the PERC H810 and MD1200 shelf is out of warrenty anyway, but its still capable of holding 12 3.5 disks and provide some storage in a non-critical environment, and Id like to use that if possible.
