Hi All, I'm happy to report that the H730P works very well in my Precision T5610. Upgrade was super-easy. All I had to do was swap the cards and cables (They do not have identical SFF connectors) and reconnect storage devices.
Once I booted the system, I manually imported the LD's and Linux/RHEL booted without any issue. On the other side of the SSD, though, the dual-booted sibling named Windows 10 didn't like the HBA change and refused to find its boot device. (*sigh*). You'd think that in 2017 this would work but.... :( Happy Linux'ing :) Vincent On Sun, 25 Jun 2017, [email protected] wrote: > > Hi everyone, > > I was wondering if it may be possible to use a Dell PERC H730P to replace > an older MegaRAID 9271-8i in a Precison T5610 workstation. > > I'm not too concerned about importing the existing LD's but I was > wondering how would I manage the PERC in such a configuration?
