We recently learned through dell support that firmware for the IDSM/vflash (which we use for esxi boot) must be updated from within a supported os or Dells system update centos-based live cd. And not from idrac or life cycle controller.
Does anyone know of any other components with this restriction? It seems like even the fw version of IDSM cannot be inventoried through openmanage essentials.
