I just applied DRAC firmware update 2.52.52.52 on several of my Centos 6.9 systems (R720xd).
I saw several issues in the kernel log, but the most troubling were those related to the NICs. The interfaces went down! (messages below) I don't remember this ever happening with a DRAC firmware update. Since when do DRAC firmware updates affect the OS? 2018-04-06T15:49:13.836290+00:00 hostname dsm_ism_srvmgrd[24348]: ISM0007 [[email protected] EventID="8194" EventCategory="Audit" Eve ntSeverity="warn" IsPastEvent="false" language="en-US"] The iDRAC Service Module communication with iDRAC has ended.
