Dell - Internal Use - Confidential

Hello,

Can you give a try to import using OMSA 9.1.0 consoles and let us know how it
goes out. (if you are still on this)
http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverid=X820W

Thanks
Vivek

This is getting more and more confusing but at least the drive imported fine
when I stopped specifying the Foreign Configuration # in my MegaCli args...
(check the difference between the two -Import commands)

# MegaCli -CfgForeign -Dsply 0 -a0

Foreign configuration 0 on controller 0:
Number of DISK GROUPS: 1

DISK GROUP: 0
Number of Spans: 1
SPAN: 0
[......]

# MegaCli -CfgForeign -Import 0 -a0

FW does not have Security key, create Security key first.
Failed to import foreign configuration 0 on controller 0.

FW error description:
The requested command has invalid arguments.

# MegaCli -CfgForeign -Import -a0

Foreign configuration is imported on controller 0.

Grumble..

Vincent

Subject: [Linux-PowerEdge] QLogic/Cavium/Broadcom BCM57800 FW update
        kills all ports

It's a 4 port NDC. 2 ports run copper 1 Gbit/s the other 2 ports are 10 GBit/s
FiberOptic w/ SFPs.
Original FW was v10.01.00 (
http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=7N5GW
)
Updated FW to the one they just just released: v14.02.12 (
http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=WT7KK
)

Booted SLI v2.2 ISO over iDRAC with the usual procedure of creating an image of
the two FW files, mounting the image, then copying over the files to Desktop.
chmod +x * and then exeuted FW update.

3 issues now:
a) LC can't show Current FW Version Inventory anymore and errors out (SWC0055).
http://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/dell-opnmang-sw-v8.0.1_Reference%20Guide_en-us.pdf
doesn't show any helpful pointers.
?b) all 4 ports fail in the ePSA
c) no port activity lights

Card shows during POST, so it's not hard-bricked.
Card shows in iDRAC inventory.
Reseated cables, but does no good.

Anyone else experiencing this? Going to reseat the card, drain flea power and
the whole shebang, and maybe try to either re-apply the FW or downgrade to
10.01.00 again. Guess I have to open a ticket w/ DELL.
