Hi R S, Thanks for taking the time to put this information together. Yes, PE T430 servers support chips up to 105W/socket. The specific chip I am looking at (2658-v4) isn't listed. I once tried 145W cpus in my T430. They worked fine one after the other but with both chips, the server wouldn't even power on (I didn't know it could do that under those circumstances). I'm clearly out of the scope of 'supported', i'm just trying to figure out my next (upgrade) move.. Thanks, Vincent
