Redhat have removed MTP-SAS from their kernels, meaning RHEL 8 will not operate on any older Dell server, say like a M610-II I was 'recycling' into another role.
The RHEL 'leapp' upgrade tool doesn't detect this and tries to do an upgrade and leaves you with an unbeatable system when it reboots and halts with MTP-SAS no longer supported message. Redhat blame the vendor for ceasing support and tell me to talk to Dell. We run a lot of old Dell M series blades as build servers when they come off the front lines.
