Drew, use the 'nousbstorage' option on kernel boot. They will disable, virtual flash, floppy and cdrom. you can also use 'nousb' but that will also disable DRAC itself, in my experience.
hope it helps, Chris. ________________________________ From: linux-poweredge-boun...@lists.us.dell.com [mailto:linux-poweredge-boun...@lists.us.dell.com] On Behalf Of Drew Weaver Sent: Friday, June 19, 2009 1:02 AM To: 'linux-powere...@dell.com' Subject: Make Linux ignore the 'virtual media' of the DRAC during aunattended PXE install? Every once in awhile we get a situation where someone for some reason has attached the VM on the DRAC, sometimes it becomes SDA and the OS tries to install on it, which obviously won't end well for anyone, does anyone know of a way to prevent this? we've seen it mostly with Ubuntu 9.04 thanks, -Drew
