Hello-

No PPP interfaces on this server :/

We ruled it out to something we are doing post-installation on our machines.
It works just fine on a plain RHEL install as well as a plain CentOS install.
Only after we modify the kernel and install some custom software does only the
web interface break with the Java log entries I listed below.

Trying to figure out what we are doing that is breaking 6.1 but 5.5 works fine
on.

Subject: RE: Issue with OMSA 6.1 and web interface

There is a related issue in the link below:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-glibc/2007/02/msg00170.html

Bug#238936: [libc6] getifaddrs() fails to initialize ifaddrs.ifa_addr
for PPP devices

As per the link, it seems the box where it failed had a PPP connection
to the Internet.
Maybe you can check if you have a similar environment.

Thanks

Subject: Issue with OMSA 6.1 and web interface

Hi everyone-

We recently picked up the upgrade on our 1950s/2950s from 5.5 to 6.1 via
yum and noticed that the web interface does not work anymore. Every
other function seems to work just fine according to ITAssist. It's
still responding via SNMP queries, etc. The web just does not respond.

I checked out one of the machines and found the below:

cat /var/log/dsm_om_connsvc32dIO.log
#

whereas on a working server the log looks perfectly normal:

resolve it?

Thanks!
