Hi Does anyone know how to set the user-defined string on the LCD on PowerEdge R610 through ipmitool ?
I can use below commands to set the user-defined string on the LCD on PowerEdge 1950 Ipmitool raw 0x6 0x58 193 0 0 6 0x66 0x6F 0x6F 0x62 0x61 0x72 Ipmitool raw 0x6 0x58 194 0 When I apply above commands to PowerEdge R610, the LCD message does not change. When I apply this command " ipmitool fru ", I can get all fru devices Does anyone has any idea what I have to do to make this work? Thanks, situ
