-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I recently received new OSMA alert logs that I have not encountered before:
Severity : Critical ID : 1404 Date and Time : Mon Jul 27 18:11:26 2009 Category : Instrumentation Service Description : Memory device status is critical Memory device location: DIMM1 Possible memory module event cause:Single bit warning error rate exceeded,Single bit failure error rate exceeded Severity : Non-Critical ID : 1403 Date and Time : Mon Jul 27 17:52:09 2009 Category : Instrumentation Service Description : Memory device status is non-critical Memory device location: DIMM1 Possible memory module event cause:Single bit warning error rate exceeded I'm wondering how worried I should be about this. Have any of you encountered this before and what were your experiences? My hardware is still under service contact, so I'll probably see if I can have Dell replace the RAM just to be on the safe side. - -- Jeremy Smith Systems Administrator eSilo, LLC. jer...@esilo.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkpu++4ACgkQgVS2ACgBQ6KbVgCgkDm/kjdyiuI4c1ojKCM0ieAs KcYAn1S30QA26x3LsVpU2ZxTg77pAjaR =fWcZ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Linux-PowerEdge mailing list Linux-PowerEdge@lists.us.dell.com https://lists.us.dell.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-poweredge Please read the FAQ at http://lists.us.dell.com/faq
