I have used shop4memory numerous times (for various servers - Dell, IBM Power,
etc) and never once had a problem. When I did actually order the wrong RAM (my
fault) they had no problem taking back the old one, and even shipped me the
correct one for the same price (difference of about 70$ more expensive.)

The RAM they use for the Dell servers is generally TRANSCEND.

Here is the ones I got for the 2950 recently

I have used www.crucial.com for all sorts of memory and they have been first
class all the time. I try and pay a bit extra when buying servers to get less
memory slots filled in the first place.

I understand to go with the defacto from DELL because in the end, you just want
it to work!

Thanks for the replies,

I may potentially just go with the Dell route and save myself the hassle. The
prices are in New Zealand Dollars, but I know for sure we are being ripped off.
Unfortunately, that is the going rate for this type of Ram in the country, so
there isn't much we can do.

Thanks again, it has been helpful.

Regards,

Gene Tang
