OMSA 5.5  -  CENTOS/RHEL5.3

I was updating our image using VMware (so not running on Dell hardware
directly). I run

        yum update

for the dell specific repositories and one set of packages that was updated
was OpenIPMI.

I had
        OpenIPMI-2.0.6-11.el5
now I have
        OpenIMPI-2.0.6-99.dell.68.1.el5

I looked at the changelog for this new rpm and the last entry is
         * Tue Jan 15 2008 Phil Knirsch <[email protected]> - 2.0.6-6.el5
        - Added 2 missing commands to the manpage (#242402, #242403)

while the old rpm had 5 more entries, ending with
        * Fri Oct 31 2008 Jan Safranek <[email protected]> 2.0.6-11.el5
        - Fixed crash when parsing 'ipmitool tsol' command line arguments
(#437271)

So it seems Dell updated the package starting from and older rpm than the
one I had and didn't add any changelog; is this normal?

Is it safe to use the Dell provided OpenIPMI?

Thanks
