Hello
I have 2 610s with integrated SAS6IR raid controllers for my internal OS
disks. I also have a SAS 5/E in the server to connect to my MD3000. I
have a couple of issues keeping me from getting up and running. Once I
connect the Virtual disk(LUN) that I have created the devices in my OS get
reordered with the SAS6IR disk(LUN) being assigned a higher sd? device
name. This keeps makes the system fail to boot.

The second issue (This may be the reason for the first)is the SAS6IR and
the SAS5/E seem to use the same driver. I have set the MPTbios to disable
the 5/E as a boot device. However since the mptsas controls both cards it
seems to ignore the bios setting and initializes both cards and issues
priority to the SAS5/E. I have looked at the module options but they do
not seem to have anything related to changing this functionality.

What I am looking for is a way to hard set the SAS6ir as the first device
in order to initialize its (LUNs) first. I have looked into udev and
attempted to create rules based on some unique identifiers for the disks.
However these did not seem to change anything. If anyone has any examples
that have worked in these type of situations.

Thanks
Sebasitan
