Thanks to all. I installed the latest package for Debian -- dellomsa
6.0.1 -- but I couldn't find what I was looking for.

My configuration is: poweredge T300 with perc6 sas controller and
2x146Gb 15krpm SAS disks in mirror. The single logical disk is used in
LVM with XFS file systems. All these file systems seems to be quite
slow. What I mean is that simply giving "ls" on an unread directory with
5 entries, may last 2-4 seconds. (This is an almost empty file system.)

I contacted DELL support and they told me that probably I should
activate write-back option using OMSA 6.1.0.

I don't know if this option will really improve read performace, but
since the machine has an UPS, I would like to give it a try.

I installed 6.0.1 and did not find any way to activate the write-back
option.

So, before trying to work on OMSA 6.1.0, I would like to ask for more
information in this list. Is there anyone with similar problem or
suggestions for solving it?

Thank you very much,
Giuseppe
