perc6/e does support 32 HDDs per RAID10 
MD3000 (2nd Generation FW) does support 44 HDDs per RAID10
 
BUT you shouldn't use Perc to connect MD3000!!! 
you MUST use a SAS HBA.

on an MD3000 can anyone tell me the max number of disks we could have in
a RAID1+0 set when the MD3000 is attached via a PERC6/E ?
