Hi Everybody,
I am using RedHat 5.0
I installed the mgetty from my CD-rom.
After the installation, I wanted to see where mgetty is on the Hard
Disk by the following command:
locate mgetty-1.1.9-3
I didn't see it. Then I tried the "find" command and
I did not see it any where on the disk. But when I tried
"rpm -q mgetty", I got the following result:
mgetty-1.1.9-3
I checked in /tmp/install.log and nothing mentioned about it there.
It is not in the install.log
Tell me, is it really installed?
If so, what else do I have to do now? Should I edit some
file in the /etc/mgetty+sendfax/ directory?
Which files and how please? I am a very beginner who needs a lot of
your help.
P.S.
I did not install ppp yet.
