Help ! I recently had problems with my PPP dialin setup, and for a variety of reasons ended up reinstalling Linux 2.0.33 completely :-( I now have a problem with my internal modem that I use for diallin - it doesn't appear to be seeing the INIT string, but works fine if I test it with Minicom. I need some sort of port monitor - when I ran OS/2, I ran Ray Gwinn's SIO with PMLM which would pipe all the dialog to a user-friendly display window. Does anything similar exist for Linux ? All I am getting at the moment is a warning message to say that the modem could not action the INIT commands. As a related issue, should I be using getty, uugetty, mgetty or what ??! Any advice appreciated ! Peter T Garner - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-ppp" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
