Dan,

It appears that there are some inconsistencies with the way ppp-2.3.5 runs
"make kernel" when including it into 2.0.35...

When you run "make kernel" from the ppp-2.3.5 it should copy over a series
of files to /usr/src/linux/... - actually it runs a script in
ppp-2.3.5/linux called kinstall.sh which copies over these files. Take a
look at this script and copy over all the files mentioned here to
/usr/src/linux/... manually to be sure you get all the new stuff. The
script will tell you where this stuff should goto exactly. All the files
necessary should be in ppp-2.3.5/linux that you need.

You will also need to change the ppp.c file in the ppp-2.3.5 source. On
line 3079, there is an incorrect inequality. You should reverse this
inequality sign! You'll then need to copy this changed ppp.c over to the
kernel source as well.

That should put you in business...
