This is quite an interesting situation. On my machine, if I have nothing
listed as a nameserver, my lookups return an unknown host. My only answer
is that you're running dns locally, which nslookup might poll by
default (your computer is be called dungeon?) and it's set up properly
to handle the lookups. You can 'ps ax | grep named' to see if named
is running. If it is, look in the /var/*/named directory for the
configuration files.
