Everything you posted looked good to me.  The things not mentioned include

* IP forwarding compiled into the kernel - don't know how to on check this.

* IP forwarding turned on - this is checked with

    cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

to see if there is a "1" there.  There can be a "1" without IP forwarding
actually compiled into the kernel, both are necessary.
